June 2019 - Present

Supervisor

At Marks and Spencer, I am responsible for end of day sales and banking, opening/closing of the store, coordinating deliveries and leading a team. I delegate tasks as required to ensure a smooth running of shifts and adhere to company standards and objectives at all times. With my Spanish language skills, I am able to deliver exceptional customer service to the many Spanish tourists.

May 2019 - July 2019

Human Resources Executive

I worked at CorvanSI in Valencia as Receptionist and Human Resources Executive. In this role I was required to apply my admin and organisation skills. Operating at all times in Spanish, everyday responsibilities included selecting applicants, answering and transferring calls, greeting and directing clients, filing and administrative duties, ordering staff/client equipment and telephone and in-person interviews.

October 2018 - May 2019

English Language Assistant

In a small village in southern Spain, I worked as a Language Assistant as part of the British Council Programme. Everyday duties involved accurately and efficiently managing all classes and supporting the teaching of English in primary education, incorporating British culture into lessons and throughout the institution.  Working with young children and speaking in English, it was vital that I communicated effectively and clearly with pupils to ensure their understanding of tasks and progress in the language.  Liaising with my stage partner, I created a pen-pal experience with a school in Scotland using the ETwinning platform.

October 2018 - June 2019

English Tutor

During my year abroad, I proactively sought extracurricular work and taught four Spanish children every week. I researched, planned and organised cooperative and engaging lessons in correspondence with the children's school topics and level of English.

June 2015 - August 2018

Team Leader

As Team Leader in Morrisons, I worked efficiently and effectively at all times to ensure the customer journey was enjoyable and their needs were met and expectations exceeded. Key responsibilities included ownership of opening/closing the store and processing large sums of money and documentation. I paid attention to detail and enhanced my administration skills, working closely with my colleagues on checkouts where communication was vital.

August 2014 - June 2015

Au Pair

I independently moved to Valencia in Spain to work as an Au Pair for a Spanish family. Responsible for pastoral and educational care of two non-English speaking schoolchildren aged five and nine, I managed and planned their day, arranged out of school activities and gave English lessons. Alongside this, I attended a Spanish language school to improve my speaking skills and cultural understanding, and received a B2 certificate before beginning my studies at University

June 2012 - May 2014

Sales Assistant

As Sales Assistant in Debenhams, everyday responsibilities included providing excellent customer service throughout the store, processing customer transactions, the upkeep of stocks and displays, working with my team on store planograms and design and consistently using my initiative to ensure the shift ran smoothly. I worked well under pressure during busy hours, working well with my colleagues and ensuring customer needs were met
